Steve Ackley has been playing bass since he was in junior high in Woodland, California. He grew up playing mostly jazz, performing in Monterey and Santa Cruz in the 1980s.

"In the '90s I got married," Steve says, "had kids, and didn't do a lot of playing.

"After a few false starts, I started getting more serious again about eight years ago. About four years ago, I began gravitating towards blues, listening to a lot of Clapton, Buddy Guy, and SRV."

Now we have him, and are glad he's here. He is very experienced, hits the riffs right and gets right in the groove.
