April 7, 2007, at JJ's Blues in San Jose
Photographs by Angela Goldsworthy and Dr Gone, comments by Dr Gone |
Angela Goldsworthy, who brought her talented keyboards-playing husband Gary Goldsworthy
to sit in with us at this gig, had some fun with Doc's digital camera. We thank her. Don't ask us how she managed this image at right, which shows harp player Joe Hartnett and Dr Gone apparently burning the joint.
Below, Joe takes a solo.

At left, Tony Lacy-Thompson plays slide on either "Statesboro Blues" or "Tush" -- our two opening tunes. That's Ken Mensing on bass.
Below, Ken sings "Johnnie B. Goode" -- always a crowd pleaser! Really, who can NOT dance to that tune?

At left, Gary Goldsworthy on keys at JJ's. We were lucky to have him sit in with us! The cat is an excellent player who has performed all around the world. We loved his stuff.
Below, Tony croons a tune. From left are Dr Gone, Tony Lacy-Thompson, Ken Mensing and Gary Goldsworthy.

At left, the whole band works on a tune. From left are Joe Harnett, Dr Gone, Tony Lacy-Thompson, Ken Mensing and Gary Goldsworthy. Can't really see Robert on drums, but he's there. So ...

At left is Animal, a fine drummer who sat in with us for a tune at JJ's. Fun cat!
Below is Dr Gone, who can't take his eye off that guy in the mirror. He been HYP-NO-TIZED!

At left, Archie Lee Hooker Jr. performs with his band, after the show by Dr Gone
& Serious Condition.
Below, photographer Danielle Stolman moves in for a close shot of Archie.
