So, there we were at the Windjammer Lounge, which is always a fun place, and one of the women who'd been dancing
told us -- and everyone else in the joint -- that she was leaving, she had to go, but she thought we were great!
"Especially," she added, "YOU!"
And she pointed at me.
Whoa!
And then she grabbed our tip jar, and went around the place browbeating people into coughing up the folding green.
I looked over at Ken Mensing, who was subbing for Steve Ackley on bass, and said, "Did you hear that? She likes me."
And Ken said, "Well, there had to be at least one."
It was a fun time at the Windjammer, and we were glad to be back. The last time we played there was ... I dunno, a long time ago. Fun people go to the Windjammer,
and a bunch of them danced. Always fun to play music for dancers.
We were a four-piece on this night. Joe Hartnett had another commitment, so we pressed on without him. Thanks to Ken for stepping in for Steve, who also had another commitment.
We hope to return to the Windjammer sometime.
