On Sunday, August 17, 2008, we played at Murf's again, for the Bikes, Blues and Barbecue afternoon event.
We always have a good time at Murf's, and this day was made especially great for several different reasons.
1. We had a great drummer with us: Craig Batanides.
2. Craig worked extremely well with bass player Gary DesJardins -- it can't be overstated how important it is in a blues band for the rhythm section to work well together! The photos at right illustrate how that worked out.
3. Our original drummer, Robert Lacy-Thompson, dropped by and sat in for a couple of tunes, and sounded great! Robert helped us develop our original sound, and he is an important part of it.
4. Iris the Beautiful was on hand to make us feel welcome! Really, if you've never been to Murf's, go there sometime just to see if you can meet Iris.

I call this photo "The Reach," because Craig and Gary are both reaching for the right sound at the same time.

The rhythm section that grimaces together sticks the beat together!

I call this photo "The Adoration," because Craig looks like the worshippers in one of those Renaissance paintings.

I don't know what Tony Lacy-Thompson was singing here, but it looks heart-felt, doesn't it?

And I have no idea what I was playing here.

Don't forget to ask to be put on our mailing list, so you can come to some of our gigs. Send email to drgone@seriouscondition.com and he will put you on the list. By the way ... we lost our
earlier list in a computer crash in July 2008. If you haven't heard from us lately, that's why. Write to Doc.
